Spacelab Module in Columbia's Cargo Bay
A special lens on a 35mm camera gives a 'fish-eye' effect this view of the Spacelab Module backdropped over the Pacific Ocean. Nearly all of Baja California and part of western Mexico can be seen at left. Five NASA astronauts and two scientist payload specialists were scheduled to spend 16-days in Earth-orbit but came home early when a problem with one of three fuel cells was recognized.
