Ringworm

Ringworm on woman's neck. Ringworm (Tinea corporis) is a fungal infection (dermatophytosis) that is most commonly found on glabrous (hairless) skin. Infections of the hands are caused by Tinea pedis ("athlete's foot"), and of the groin by Tinea cruris ("jock itch"). It is characterized by the type of bumpy, reddish/brownish rash seen here. The rash is typically lighter in the center, which gives it the appearance of a ring.
