Omnibuses at Helston, 1903
The first omnibuses at Helston, 1903. These Great Western Railway buses carried passengers, goods and mail from Helston to the Lizard peninsula, which did not have a railway connection. This was the first regular motor bus service in Britain. The Great Western Railway quickly built up its bus services and by 1904 it ran more buses than the city of London.
