MICROSPORUM CANIS

Microsporum canis is a microscopic fungus of the dermatophytes family. It leads to skin, scalp and nail infections. Contamination can be spread by human contact, through domestic animals or through contact with the soil or dirty objects. This fungus can lead to superficial lesions (intertrigo, herpes circinea, tinea or onychomycosis) or deep lesions (sycosis). Lotions or antifungal creams are used to treat the infection.
