
Measuring Blood Pressure
Blood pressure measurement using a 24-hour monitor worn on the body of an elderly female patient. The pressure is monitored every half an hour during the day and once an hour at night during sleep to check for fluctuations. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure is monitored along with the heart pulse. Keeping a normal blood pressure is important in the prevention of heart attack and stroke and also other ailments of internal organs like the kidneys. The data recorded are then downloaded at the doctor's office and evaluated.
