Left luggage department, Charing Cross Station

Left luggage department of Charing Cross Station, London, associated with the Trunk Murder of 1927. On 10 May 1927 staff were alerted by a bad smell, and discovered the dismembered body of a woman in a trunk. The victim was found to be Minnie Alice Bonati, prostitute, murdered by John Robinson, who was executed for the crime at Pentonville Prison in August of the same year.
