Juvenile's duskywing, Erynnis juvenalis

Juvenile's duskywing, Erynnis juvenalis. Duskywings rest with their wings held horizontal, and not held over their backs like most butterflies. Their caterpillars feed on oak and these butterflies are usually found along paths and dirt roads that border open oak woods and scrub growth. Photographed in March, Parker Co., TX
