Giant cactus longhorn beetle, Moneilema gigas, feeding on prickly-pear cactus. The larvae are borers within many species of cactus. This species is quite abundant from central and west Texas and much of the Southwest. cactus longhorns differ from most longhorn beetles in lacking long antennas.
