
Electrical Cable
A shielded electrical cable has several individually insulated conductors (wires) enclosed by a common conductive layer. The whole cable is covered with an insulating jacket. The shield acts as a Faraday cage protecting the signals from outside interference and reducing electromagnetic radiation from the cable.
