Eleanor Powell in a cruise dress designed by Dolly Tree
Eleanor Powell in a cruise dress designed by Dolly Tree in 1938 at MGM, illustrating her belief at the time in ?simplicity as well as extreme sophistication?. Made of white linen, red scallops outlined puff sleeves and the dainty lines of the brief jacket and continued down the front of the dress, which buttoned the whole way with small round buttons. Bow and belt were of matching red linen.
