Egyptian “false-door” stela. Limestone. First Intermediate Period (circa 2000 BC). One of the “false-door” purpose was to guarantee the eternal feeding for the deceased. In this case, Anubis is asked to provide the citizen Li, son of Query, with bread, beer, oxen and fowls and all good and pure things on a god lives.
