Drummond's sundrops, Calylophus drummondianus
Drummond's sundrops, or day primrose, Calylophus drummondianus. While resembling an evening primrose of the genus Oenothera, this species' flowers stay open during the day. This is a showy prairie wildflower throughout much of TX extending to eastern NM and north in the Plains States. It is becoming increasingly popular as flower garden subject.
