Dress of the reign of Henry VII.

Dress of the reign of King Henry VII, 1485~1509. She wears a frontlet headdress with blue embroidered top and gold-decorated wings, jeweled necklace, a purple velvet dress with gold belt and cuffs. The frontlet was worn as late as the reign of James I. Based on an ancient tapestry, Royal manuscript. Handcoloured lithograph from Costumes of British Ladies from the Time of William the First to the Reign of Queen Victoria, London, Dickinson & Son, 1840. 48 mounted plates of women's fashion from 1066 to 1840 based on effigies, manuscripts, portraits, prints and literary descriptions.
