Dorothy Olivia Georgiana Peto (1886-1974), first Woman Superintendent in the London Metropolitan Police. She served from 1930 until 1946, receiving the OBE in 1920 and the King's Police Medal in 1944. Seen here working at her desk, with a map of London on the wall behind her.
