DISSEMINATED SCLEROSIS
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease caused by the destruction of the white matter (myelin) that forms a sheath around the axons of the central nervous system. Demyelization leaves scars or 'plaques' that cause various symptoms: declining visual acuity, motor disorders, speech problems.
