Church of Saint Simeon, Syria
The remains of the Church of Saint Simeon in northern Syria. After Simeon died in 459 A.D., a large church was built around the sacred pillar on which he stood. A boulder, which can be seen slightly to the right of center here, is all that remains of the pillar today.
