Bilateral Pulmonary Effusion, X-ray
This child's chest x-ray revealed the onset of bilateral pulmonary effusion due to chickenpox pneumonia. The chickenpox pneumonia was a secondary infection to the child's original leukemia, which placed the patient into a debilitated state, predisposing him to a super-infection; note the congested lung fields throughout both lungs.
