Badger (Taxidea taxus)

The Badger (Taxidea taxus) is found in the western and central United States, northern Mexico and central Canada. Badgers prefer to live in dry, open grassland, fields, and pastures. They are found from high alpine meadows to sea leavel. Badgers are excellent digging machines. Their powerfully built forelimbs allow them to tunnel rapidly through the soil.
