A young boy scaring birds.
Engraving depicting a young boy using a Clack, Rattle or Whizzer, a noisy wooden contraption to scare the birds away. When the handle was swung round the head rotated, making a dry, clacking sound. Similar devices were quite often taken to football matches and other sporting events by supporters. Dated 19th Century.
